Wrap your baby in the comfort of the Summer Infant SwaddleMe, the original adjustable infant wrap. Swaddling soothes newborns by recreating the familiar, comforting snugness of the womb and helps prevent baby from startling awake so babies, and parents, sleep more soundly. SwaddleMe wings are adjustable for just the right fit on baby and keep even wiggly baby swaddle tight. It’s a SwaddleMe World.
These things are just great, a real essential for your new baby. I have two of them in organic cotton and one in micro fleece in the smaller size and have just bought three more in the bigger size since we will definitely continue using these for a while. I like that you can change the diaper by pulling down the leg part without unswaddling the arms. This prevents full awakenings at night which helps him get back to sleep more quickly. Pair them with a sleeping gown by Carter’s to make for very easy middle of the night diaper changing.
I have washed both the organic cotton and micro fleece swaddling baby blankets several times, and they have held up well.
My only complaint is that the small size says for 7-14 pounds. I think that’s a bit of a stretch on both ends. My son easily wiggled out of the small size until he was about eight pounds, and once he hit 13 pounds, he really had grown out of the small size.
Which swaddling blankets are best for your baby?
The Best baby swaddling blankets is all depend on you. Let’s face it; you have a newborn and tons of dresses, etc. Do you really need them? Don’t think so, as mostly it’s a wrap you will be having, etc. Now, the problem with wraps is that invariably the legs “shoot” out, sooner or later, the swaddling blankets get tangled and there’s a pronounced risk of SIDS due to suffocation.
